About Me!

Growing up, I was blessed to be surrounded by theatre and my first introduction to it was the OBC recording of Into the Woods on my VHS and Bernadette Peters and Joanna Gleason instantly became my heroes. (There’s a home video of two-year-old me reciting “The Witch’s Rap” in my living room with my oldest brother graciously playing The Baker for me.)

My heroes also happened to be the high school students (and my older brothers) who performed in the spring musicals in my little coal-region town in Pennsylvania; I  could not wait to get into seventh grade so I could finally be like the big kid actors in school. I looked up to and adored watching my older siblings (Dane, Colin, and Evan) entertain the whole county with their comedic chops. Colin especially was the star; he knew exactly how to make people laugh for all of his years in our drama club.

When Colin passed away in 2008 at the age of 20, being in the drama club took on a whole new meaning for me and my family. The drama club was something Colin loved, and the first time I ever took the stage as a lead, I truly felt so close to him and I can never forget the feeling that washed over me in the wings as I was about to step onto the same stage that he once took. To this day, when I create a piece of art, I feel it in my gut and in my chest that he is my guiding light throughout my creative career; I truly strive to make him proud every day and in everything I do.

When I was accepted into NYU, my whole life changed and I could not be more grateful for where I am now as I continue to grow into the artist and person I was always meant to become; I find myself falling more and more in love with the life that I am creating for myself and continually growing into the artist and human I was always meant to be.
