ACTOR, SINGER, CREATOR.
An equally goofy & kickass artist with a spunky spirit & a loud laugh.
A little bit about Leanne:
I am a queer, fiery lil artist who brings undeniable fearlessness into any room - I work and thrive in the weird, wild, bold realm of contemporary theatre-making as well as being a fire-cracking classical actor.
I also am a drag king/queen/clown: ROONEY! My siblings and I do drag together, and we make up the HAUS OF CANNOLIS. @rooneydrag on insta!
Recently, I completed a reading of Macbeth at The Atlantic Theater Company Stage 2, and made my Off-Broadway debut at the
Classic Stage Company as a part of the acting cohort of the 24 Hour Plays: Nationals!
I am a graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts where I trained with the Atlantic Acting Studio and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London. While there I earned my Broadsword Combat Certification (Pass with Distinction) and played King Lear in KING LEAR.
From small-town Pennsylvania (Go Birds, Go Phils) raised to chasing my dreams in New York City, babyyy- also, I’m a Leo sun, Leo rising, and Libra moon.
Lover of all things tea, Shakespeare, polaroid pictures, fashion, and recently: traveling! I’m very Irish, so even the stars give me sunburn. I love to make people laugh and feel good.
My Mission Statement
As a queer person who is very comfortable in my gender expression, I strive to challenge and break the mold of what it means to be a queer, AFAB actor in the industry.
I want to express both my divine feminine and masculine energies into my craft and inspire others to be bold and free enough to do so too; whether that is through reimagining the classics, Shakespeare, musicals and beyond, genderbending, etc.
